And, we’re back!
Obviously, I’ve been a horrible blogger. However, sometimes you need to just step back and let life happen.
It’s been a little bit over a year since I first moved to NYC. Even though it’s only been 14 months since I left Indiana….I’ve learned a lifetime of lessons. I’ve reached many highs and lows, questioning why I even moved here in the first place. Well, all I can say is that I’m still here….and that says a lot! There are days when I sit on the subway and realize that I actually feel comfortable. New York is starting to feel like home.
I now have a job working at New York Presbyterian Hospital. When I lost my first job in January, I was having a difficult time understanding the purpose behind it. Now, i believe more than ever that everything happens for a reason. Every day that I take a step forward in the city, I discover something new about myself, my friends, my career, or the millions of people that I pass every day.
I hope this doesn’t seem self-indulgent, but life is really good. I feel happy and at peace with a lot of aspects in my life, and I hope to continue to learn and grow from here.
I wonder where I would be now if I had never moved here. I’m glad that I don’t know the answer :)
