Back from New York…..

I have never been so sad to be back from a trip. This past week was so amazing, it felt like a vacation. I started off by going to NYC for four days, back to Indy for a night at the symphony, and then a weekend at the West Baden Resort with my AXO girls.

For NYC, I can fortunately say that there were NO interesting airport stories. I know that this doesn’t create a lot of fun for this blog, but it’s a lot of sanity for me. However, I can say that while I was waiting to cross the streets of Brooklyn, standing next to a random gal, a car whipped around the corner with a guys head sticking out of the window screaming, “YOU LADIES HAVE SOME FINE ASSES!!!!!”

Welcome to New York.

I was in Brooklyn to premiere a piece by my friend John Chittum, and to also perform another piece by Andrew Cole, another great composer. It was my first time performing Electronic Music, and I think it was a great success!!! Much thanks to John for inviting me to perform and to everyone at Brooklyn College for being so kind and welcoming. I hope to see you all this fall!!

I loved every moment of being in NYC. I felt at peace in such a high pace city…and it was a validation of my desire to live there. Much thanks to Geneva, Amanda, and Emily for wanting to help me in anyway possible, so that I can get to the city!!

Here are also some pics from the West Baden resort. We had such a great time, with a lot of laughs.

The beautiful resort!!!
